Context budgeting

makeContextPatch() builds compact, bounded context from original hits. It reduces input size and keeps evaluation repeatable. It does not rewrite the evidence.

Build your own formatter when you need citations, XML wrappers, JSON schemas, or custom token accounting. Keep the original hit text associated with its source identifier.

Knolo Cortex caps what a host model sees during a round: hit ids and excerpts of at most 500 characters. That cap is separate from makeContextPatch. The answer, when you use evidence_answer, still has to come from evidence the round selected.
