Interoperability
TypeScript is the reference for V4 retrieval and the full V5, KAR, composition, and Cortex surface. Other runtimes share fixtures where their version says they do. They do not become equivalent by sharing a repository.
| Runtime | Version | Interoperates on |
|---|---|---|
TypeScript @knolo/core | 6.2.0 | V4, V5, KAR, composition, Cortex |
| Rust | 5.5.1 | V4 read, V5 verify, EQL, diagnostics roots, public KAR evaluate/verify, VQF-1 object/event decode |
| Python | 5.5.1 | Read-only V5 verify and query, preserved older pack APIs |
| ICP canister | 5.5.1 | Legacy pack profile |
Rust plan_root, result_root, diagnostics roots, and the KIP-0026 management root match the TypeScript fixtures for the panels that crate implements. Optional query, history, run, and replay panels stay host extensions until a native contract is added. Rust does not encode VQF-1 and does not build lexical postings.
Do not send a Cortex trace, a composition record, or a CEG Source file to the Rust, Python, or ICP runtimes and expect those runtimes to evaluate them. Verify those artifacts with the TypeScript packages or the CLI, which links the TypeScript runtime.
Conformance fixtures live under conformance/ in Knolo Core, including conformance/v5, conformance/kar/v1, conformance/kar/coverage-v1, conformance/composition/v1, and conformance/cortex/v1.
A matching root across two implementations means those implementations agree on the bytes. It does not extend trust to a runtime that never implemented the contract.
